Abstract Submission
We welcome submissions to the UniversAI interdisciplinary symposium, from both astrophysics and computer science. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Image processing/reconstruction
- Natural language interfaces to data
- Big data visualization
- Knowledge Graphs
- Knowledge representation and reasoning
- Astronomical databases
- Data mining
- Data management
- Astrostatistics
- Future experiments
The submission process follows a simplified format, common in astrophysics meetings. Authors are asked to submit a title and an abstract of no more than 250 words via the symposium platform, which will be announced shortly.
During submission, you will also need to indicate your preferred presentation format — poster or oral presentation. The Scientific Organizing Committee (SOC) decides which abstracts will be accepted for presentation. Abstracts will be accepted under the condition that one, at least, author will be registered and present it at the symposium. The SOC has the right of the final decision on the forms of presentation.
Abstract submission deadline: February 1, 2025
Notification of acceptance: March 1, 2025
Proceedings
All accepted abstracts are granted a place in the proceedings, published by Cambridge University Press. These proceedings will be indexed by NASA ADS, Google Scholar, and potentially DBLP (to be confirmed). The length of the paper depends on your presentation format: for poster presentations, papers may be up to 2 pages, while for oral presentations, papers can be up to 4 pages long. Authors are required to follow the official IAU template and refer to the detailed IAU instructions for proceedings authors. Authors of accepted abstracts have the option not to submit a paper to the proceedings.
The papers will be submitted up to three months after the symposium. The paper submission portal will be announced here, closer to the symposium dates.
Paper submission (for accepted abstracts): September 30, 2025
